It seems as though everyone has something to say these days; the desire to be heard is epidemic. While the worlds of myspace and facebook run rampant, we've found a more subtle, personal way to get your message across.

Mark your calendars now for the Columbus School for Girls' annual Jubliee! You won't want to miss Amy, plus hundreds of other vendors with beautifully created items including clothing, accessories, home goods and gift items. Money raised from this event goes directly to the CSG's Scholar's fund. It's worth the trip!

Ok . . . so half the population of Ohio (or at least half of our friends) have quietly headed south to inaugurate the coming of Spring. It would be easy not to notice since things here at Granville Millinery Co. have kept us busy; particularly our recent Derby Hat Truck Show at Palazzina in Louisville, KY. But the snow and cold weather have made us downright dreamy for anything tropical. We stumbled upon this home interior website for a store located in Key West, FL. They manage to capture all things beautiful about life in the sunshine state www.welcomehomekeywest.com
Here's a superb drink to accompany your dreaming:
Bushwhacker
4 oz cream of coconut
2 oz kahlua
1 oz creme de cacao
1 oz rum
4 oz. half and half
2 cups ice
makes 2-4 drinks
(Bushwhacker recipe compliments of Susan Kelly, Columbus, GA)

I recently visited this really neat store - ABC Carpet & Home - while in New York. Check out their website for some fantastic home products, as well as furniture, lighting, gifts, and collectables. If you are looking for more inspiration - you should check out the Silk Trading Company for exclusive designer fabrics. They are located on the bottom level of ABC Carpet & Home.

This picture of my bedroom was in the O At Home article. And the lamp was brought home by Paul from a painting trip in Venice, Italy. It is a Fortuny Pendant Lamp available at www.lightology.com.
And the shoes...well when I am not wearing them - I leave them out as decor!!! : )
The beautiful glass bird is from my great-grandmother, Alice.
